My Platform
Police support
In New Hope, the Mayor’s primary role is to oversee the police department. As a retired police officer, I will continue New Hope’s tradition of community policing. As mayor of New Hope, I will work with the Chief of Police to:
Re-introduce weekly police reports.
Bring back the bike patrol unit and traffic control assistance on busy weekends.
Enforce speeding and street noise violations.
Support accreditation and up-to-date training.
Write press releases and work to inform the community about Emergency Preparedness.
Inform residents about the Emergency Preparedness Plan.
Community advocacy
In New Hope, the Mayor often acts as the face of a community and a town is only as great as its people. As mayor of New Hope, I will:
Recruit and involve more residents and business owners in the town’s committees, boards, and nonprofits.
Encourage all to support New Hope businesses and nonprofits that are vital to promoting the arts, our diversity, and the entertainment in our town.
Advocate for residents in the town’s quality-of-life issues.
Work to preserve New Hope’s charm and history of openness and acceptance.
Maintain a positive working relationship with Borough Council.
Strengthen the relationship with officials in neighboring towns.
Produce a monthly mayor’s report.
Democratic values
I’m well aware that the threats we’re facing nationally could affect people in our town. Within the scope of my ability as mayor, I will uphold the Democratic values of equity, inclusion, and progress and serve my community with integrity.
Fight for New Hope to remain a safe and joyful place for the LGBTQIA+ community.
Uphold the Constitutional rights for all residents, regardless of immigration status.
Encourage environmentally friendly development as much as possible.
Listen to residents and be a mayor for the people.
